Hi! Welcome this blog post about Excuses.

I recently heard Cara Alwill’s podcast on how excuses don’t make strong women. And that really got me thinking about how I love doing so many things but I just make excuses about it.
She spoke about the reasons we make excuses. She gave five main reason:
- We doubt ourselves
- We’re afraid
- We’re not motivated enough
- We avoid pain
- We’re afraid of rejection
According to me, these are all related to the fact that we are afraid.
Which is why the main reason we make excuses is because we are AFRAID. We are afraid of rejection, pain and failure. I’m always making excuses about not working on my college applications because I’m scared of getting rejected. And I know this rejection will cause pain to me.
We are also afraid of the embarrassment. We avoid embarrassment. I was really anxious to go to a gym the other day because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to do the workout and that people would judge me.
So the thing is all of us make excuses EVERYDAY about EVERYTHING we don’t want to do. If that task is necessary we better stop the excuses and just get over with it.
If you’re making excuses about something you don’t want to do then maybe it’s not worth the sacrifice.

So according to me, the end result shouldn’t matter at the moment. What should matter is that we put in our best and give our 100%. If we change our mindset and think this way, half our excuses will disappear.
